Qualitative Evaluation of Cancer Survivors’ Experiences of Metacognitive Therapy: A New Perspective on Psychotherapy in Cancer Care
Overview
This qualitative study explores how cancer survivors experienced metacognitive therapy (MCT) through interviews with 14 participants. The findings indicate that while patients initially doubted the efficacy of brief therapy, those who completed it reported gaining control over their thoughts and reducing worry. The resource is relevant for clinicians interested in patient perspectives on MCT within oncology settings.
