The Effectiveness of Compassion-focused Therapy for Improving Emotional Control and Reducing the Severity of Pain in Migraine Patients
Overview
This study investigates whether Compassion-Focused Therapy improves emotional control and reduces pain severity in 30 migraine patients in Iran. Participants were randomly assigned to receive eight sessions of CFT or serve as a control group, with outcomes measured using standardized questionnaires. The results indicate that CFT significantly enhanced emotional regulation and decreased pain intensity compared to the control condition.
