Feasibility and preliminary outcomes of compassion-focused acceptance and commitment therapy delivered via telehealth in a community behavioral health clinic
Overview
This study evaluates the feasibility and preliminary outcomes of a manualized Compassion-Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (CFACT) protocol delivered via telehealth to individuals with transdiagnostic presentations in a community clinic. The research utilized a single-case experimental design across 16–19 weekly sessions to assess symptom severity, self-compassion, shame, and psychological flexibility. Results indicate that the treatment was acceptable to participants and clinicians, with most showing reliable decreases in symptom distress and increases in self-compassion and psychological flexibility.
