Acceptance and commitment therapy on perceived stress and psychological flexibility of psychiatric nurses: a randomized control trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial examines the effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on perceived stress and psychological flexibility among 70 psychiatric nurses in Tehran. The study compares an experimental group receiving eight ACT sessions against a control group receiving only routine interventions, measuring outcomes before and one month after the intervention. The authors report that the ACT group experienced significantly lower stress levels and higher psychological flexibility compared to the control group.
