Cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation and cognitive-behavioral therapy in the treatment of adult depression: A network meta-analysis.
Overview
This network meta-analysis compares the effectiveness and tolerability of cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and their combination in cognitive-behavioral therapy for adult depression. The study analyzes data from 45 randomized controlled trials involving over 3,000 participants to evaluate outcomes against waiting list and care-as-usual controls. Findings indicate that all three interventions are superior to control conditions with no significant differences in effectiveness or tolerability among them.
