Maintenance treatment for anorexia nervosa: A comparison of cognitive behavior therapy and treatment as usual
Overview
This nonrandomized clinical trial compares one year of manualized individual cognitive behavior therapy against an assessment-only control condition for 88 patients with weight-restored anorexia nervosa. The study measures time to relapse, defined by specific BMI thresholds or symptom resumption, and reports that the CBT group experienced significantly longer relapse times than the treatment-as-usual group. The resource is intended for researchers or clinicians interested in maintenance treatment outcomes for this population.
