An exploration of compassion focused therapy following acquired brain injury
Overview
This naturalistic evaluation explores the feasibility and safety of Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) for individuals with acquired brain injuries experiencing anxiety and depression. The study involved twelve patients undergoing neuropsychological rehabilitation, utilizing both self-report measures and qualitative interviews to assess outcomes. Results indicated significant reductions in self-criticism and symptoms, alongside increased self-reassurance, with no reported adverse effects.
