A pilot study of prolonged exposure therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder delivered via telehealth technology
Overview
This pilot study examines the feasibility and clinical outcomes of delivering prolonged exposure therapy to veterans with combat-related PTSD via telehealth. The authors compare technical performance, safety, and treatment completion rates against a reference group receiving in-person therapy. Results indicate significant reductions in self-reported pathology among telehealth participants, supporting the modality's preliminary feasibility.
