Mindfulness-based exposure and response prevention for obsessive compulsive disorder: Findings from a pilot randomised controlled trial
Overview
This pilot randomized controlled trial compares group-based mindfulness-based exposure and response prevention (MB-ERP) with standard ERP for individuals with OCD. The study found that while both groups showed symptom improvement, MB-ERP did not result in clinically significant advantages over standard ERP regarding OCD severity, depression, or wellbeing. However, participants in the MB-ERP group demonstrated greater improvements in mindfulness skills compared to those receiving standard ERP.
