EDITORIAL The journal Acta Zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae, founded by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, has been an international forum for taxonomic and ecological papers since 1955. In the last 17 years Professor Gábor Bakonyi (Department of Zoology and Ecology, Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences) was the Editor-in-Chief.
