Mindfulness-based therapy versus cognitive behavioral therapy for people with anxiety symptoms: a systematic review and meta-analysis of random controlled trials
Overview
This systematic review and meta-analysis compares the efficacy of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for individuals with anxiety symptoms. The authors analyzed data from 11 randomized controlled trials to evaluate outcomes related to anxiety, depression, and sleep quality. The study reports that while overall post-intervention scores showed no significant difference between the two approaches, subgroup analyses indicated specific advantages for each modality depending on the measurement scale used.
