Compassion-Focused Therapy on Levels of Anxiety and Depression Among Women with Breast Cancer; A Randomized Pilot Trial
Overview
This randomized pilot trial investigates the impact of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) on anxiety and depression in women with breast cancer in Iran. The study compares an eight-week CFT intervention against motivational enhancement therapy in a sample of thirty patients. Results indicate that CFT significantly reduced both anxiety and depression symptoms, with a noted greater effect on anxiety levels.
