Internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy versus standard information brochures in advanced cancer caregivers: randomized controlled trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial compares an eight-week, therapist-guided internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy program against standard information brochures for informal caregivers of patients with advanced cancer. The study measures changes in caregiver burden, anxiety, depression, and self-efficacy among 200 participants using validated scales at baseline, week four, and week eight. Results indicate that the digital intervention group experienced significantly greater reductions in psychological distress and improvements in self-efficacy compared to the control group.
