Effectiveness of Web-Delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in Relation to Mental Health and Well-Being: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Overview
This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluates the effectiveness of web-delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for managing affective disorders and well-being, focusing exclusively on randomized controlled trials. The authors found that while web-based ACT appears effective for depression and demonstrates high patient adherence, the limited range of conditions and outcome measures prevents firm conclusions regarding its efficacy for anxiety or general well-being.
