Single-session dialectical behavior therapy skills training versus relaxation training for non-treatment-engaged suicidal adults: a randomized controlled trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial compares single-session dialectical behavior therapy skills training against relaxation training for adults experiencing suicidal ideation who are not currently engaged in mental health treatment. The study recruits participants from the community and assesses outcomes such as suicidal ideation, emotion dysregulation, and treatment utilization at one, four, and twelve weeks post-intervention. It targets a population often overlooked in intervention research due to their lack of prior contact with mental health services.
