An exploration of group-based compassion-focused therapy for adolescents and their parents
Overview
This non-randomized controlled trial examines the effectiveness of group-based compassion-focused therapy for adolescents with complex mental health difficulties and their parents. The study compares changes in self-compassion and perceived stress between participants receiving CFT and those receiving treatment as usual, alongside baseline differences among fathers, mothers, and adolescents. Results indicate no significant between-group differences in outcomes, though some within-group changes were observed.
