Is acceptance and commitment therapy helpful in reducing anxiety symptomatology in people aged 65 or over? A systematic review
Overview
This systematic review evaluates the therapeutic effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on anxiety symptoms in adults aged 65 and older. The authors analyzed seven studies involving 633 participants to assess ACT's efficacy as a non-pharmacological intervention for this underrepresented demographic. The resource is intended for researchers and clinicians interested in evidence-based psychological treatments for geriatric mental health.
