The effect of counseling based on acceptance and commitment therapy on mental health and quality of life among infertile couples: A randomized controlled trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial examines the impact of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) counseling on the mental health and quality of life of 54 infertile couples in Iran. Participants received eight weekly group sessions, with outcomes measured using the GHQ-28 and Fertility Quality of Life scales one month post-intervention. The study reports significant improvements in mental health scores and quality of life for the counseling group compared to the control group.
