Treatment outcomes for military‐affiliated clients with posttraumatic stress disorder in a community mental health network
Overview
This study evaluates PTSD treatment outcomes for 2,717 military-affiliated clients within a community mental health network, comparing Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR, and Prolonged Exposure (PE). It reports that clients attending at least four sessions experienced substantial symptom reductions across all three modalities, with dropout rates ranging from 27.5% to 40.1%. The resource provides real-world data on efficacy and retention for clinicians working with this population in non-VA settings.
