QUALITY OF LIFE IN DEMENTIA CAREGIVERS AFTER USING ONLINE SELF-GUIDED ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY
Overview
This study investigates the impact of a six-session online, self-guided Acceptance and Commitment Therapy program on the quality of life for family caregivers of individuals with dementia. Using qualitative analysis of interviews from a subset of participants in a randomized waitlist-controlled trial, the authors report themes such as increased self-compassion, reduced stress, and improved health behaviors at post-intervention and six-week follow-up. The resource is intended for readers interested in empirical research regarding digital mental health interventions for caregivers.
