Combining Metacognitive Strategies with Traditional Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Generalized Anxiety Disorder: A Case Illustration
Overview
This paper presents a single case illustration of an adult with generalized anxiety disorder treated with twelve weekly outpatient sessions combining traditional cognitive behavior therapy and metacognitive strategies. The authors report pre- and post-treatment assessments using clinician-rated scales to evaluate changes in anxiety and worry. The resource is intended for clinicians interested in case-based examples of integrating these therapeutic approaches.
