Development of a Single-Session, Transdiagnostic Preventive Intervention for Young Adults at Risk for Emotional Disorders
Overview
This paper describes the development of a single-session, transdiagnostic preventive intervention designed for young adults at risk for anxiety and depressive disorders in college settings. The authors aimed to address limitations of existing lengthy programs by creating a 2-hour workshop based on the Unified Protocol. A proof-of-concept study reported that participants found the intervention satisfactory and acceptable, noting its success in delivering adaptive emotion management skills.
