Web-delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for smoking cessation: Is it engaging and efficacious for US Hispanic/Latinx adult smokers?
Overview
This secondary analysis examines the efficacy and engagement of a web-delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention, WebQuit.org, compared to a standard guideline-based site, Smokefree.gov, among US Hispanic/Latinx adult smokers. The study reports that participants using the ACT-based website demonstrated higher treatment engagement and greater odds of smoking cessation at 12 months than those using the comparison site. The resource is relevant for researchers or clinicians interested in digital health interventions targeting smoking cessation within this specific demographic.
