Safety planning-type interventions for suicide prevention: meta-analysis
Overview
This meta-analysis evaluates the effectiveness of safety planning-type interventions (SPTIs) for reducing suicidal behavior and ideation by synthesizing data from six studies involving 3,536 participants. The authors report that SPTIs significantly reduced suicidal behavior compared to control conditions but found no significant effect on suicidal ideation. The resource is intended for researchers and clinicians interested in evidence-based suicide prevention strategies.
