Mental health and wellbeing interventions for uniformed service personnel: a mixed methods systematic review
Overview
This mixed methods systematic review synthesizes evidence on mental health interventions for uniformed service personnel across 86 primary studies. It reports that mindfulness, resilience coaching, CBT, and lifestyle activities were associated with reduced PTSD, anxiety, and depression symptoms, while Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and peer support showed mixed results. The resource also integrates qualitative findings regarding participant experiences, barriers like stigma, and recommendations for future intervention design.
