The effectiveness of mindfulness‐based stress reduction (MBSR) on the mental health, HbA1C, and mindfulness of diabetes patients: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of randomised controlled trials
Overview
This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluates the impact of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on mental health, HbA1C levels, and mindfulness in individuals with diabetes. The study synthesizes data from eleven articles involving 718 participants to assess outcomes at post-intervention and follow-up periods ranging from one to twelve months. Findings indicate that MBSR significantly reduces anxiety and depressive symptoms while enhancing mindfulness, though no significant effects were observed on HbA1C levels or immediate stress reduction.
