Cognitive behavioral therapy skills via a smartphone app for subthreshold depression among adults in the community: the RESiLIENT randomized controlled trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial evaluates the efficacy of a smartphone app delivering five specific CBT skills for subthreshold depression in adults. The study involved 3,936 participants and compared the app against delayed treatment, health information, and self-check controls over six weeks. Results indicate that the CBT skills significantly reduced depressive symptom severity compared to all control conditions.
