Brief online acceptance and commitment therapy for adults with type 1 diabetes: a pilot study
Overview
This pilot study evaluates a four-week online Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention for adults with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. The single-arm trial involved thirteen participants who completed pre- and post-intervention assessments measuring diabetes-associated stress, acceptance, psychological flexibility, and the patient-doctor relationship. Results indicated significant improvements in stress, acceptance, and flexibility, though the patient-doctor relationship did not change significantly.
