Web-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for adults with type 1 diabetes: A single case experimental design (SCED)
Overview
This study evaluates the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of a six-week online Acceptance and Commitment Therapy intervention for adults with Type 1 diabetes experiencing distress. The research utilized a randomized multiple-baseline single case experimental design to assess outcomes such as well-being, quality of life, mood, anxiety, and psychological flexibility. Results indicate that the intervention was highly acceptable to participants who completed the study, with many reporting improvements in various psychological and behavioral metrics.
