Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention in adolescents with type 1 diabetes: A pilot and feasibility study
Overview
This pilot study evaluates the feasibility and acceptability of a six-week Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention for adolescents with type 1 diabetes. The research compares participants receiving ACT against those receiving standard care, noting high attendance rates and positive feedback from the adolescent group. While results suggest potential improvements in quality of life and reductions in diabetes distress, the authors recommend larger trials to confirm efficacy.
