Comparing the Effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy on Worry Severity and Loneliness Among the Patients With Multiple Sclerosis
Overview
This quasi-experimental study compares Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) regarding their impact on worry severity and loneliness in 45 patients with multiple sclerosis. Participants were assigned to ACT, CFT, or a control group, completing standardized scales before and after the interventions. The results indicate that ACT was more effective than CFT in reducing these psychological symptoms.
