A Narrative Review of Compassion Focused Therapy on Positive Mental Health Outcomes
Overview
This narrative review examines the effectiveness of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) on positive mental health outcomes, such as well-being and quality of life, rather than just symptom reduction. The authors analyzed sixteen randomized controlled trials published since 2012, finding that CFT generally yields positive effects, particularly in enhancing self-compassion. The resource is intended for researchers and clinicians interested in the application of CFT for personal recovery and positive mental health.
