Optimizing single-session CBT delivery in an 8-session longitudinal therapeutic assessment (FRAX-TA) for women with FMR1 Premutation
Overview
This study introduces FRAX-TA, an 8-session therapeutic assessment protocol for women with the FMR1 premutation that integrates a single-session cognitive behavioral therapy component called the Psychoeducational Assessment. The research evaluated the impact of delivering this assessment at different time points on anxiety, depression, and other psychological domains in 81 participants. Results indicated significant reductions in distress symptoms and high participant satisfaction, suggesting the model provides therapeutic benefit even without ongoing treatment.
