The effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction on anxiety and sleep quality in informal family caregivers of cancer patients: a randomized controlled trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial examines the impact of an eight-session mindfulness-based stress reduction program on anxiety and sleep quality among informal female caregivers of cancer patients in Iran. The study reports statistically significant improvements in these outcomes for the intervention group compared to a no-intervention control group. Authors note that findings are limited by the small sample size, convenience sampling method, and lack of generalizability to male caregivers.
