The Effect of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Group Counseling on Psychological and Inflammatory Responses of the Women With Breast Cancer
Overview
This randomized clinical trial examines the impact of an 8-week mindfulness-based stress reduction group counseling program on women with breast cancer. The study measures changes in anxiety, depression, perceived stress, and biological markers including cortisol and C-reactive protein. Results indicate that the intervention significantly reduced anxiety levels compared to a control group, but did not produce significant differences in stress, depression, or inflammatory markers.
