Age Inclusive Compassion-Focused Therapy: a Pilot Group Evaluation
Overview
This pilot study evaluates the acceptability and impact of an age-inclusive compassion-focused therapy group for secondary mental health service participants. The mixed-method design utilized pre- and post-intervention questionnaires and qualitative interviews to assess outcomes such as self-compassion, mindfulness, depression, and stress levels. Results indicated significant improvements in self-compassion and reductions in depression and risk scores, alongside positive participant feedback regarding connection and group safety.
