Feasibility of the Understanding and Managing Adult ADHD Programme: open-access online group psychoeducation and acceptance and commitment therapy for adults with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder
Overview
This study evaluates the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of the Understanding and Managing Adult ADHD Programme (UMAAP), an open-access online group intervention combining psychoeducation and acceptance and commitment therapy for adults with ADHD. The research reports on 257 participants in an uncontrolled pre-post design, assessing outcomes such as quality of life, self-acceptance, and knowledge of ADHD at baseline, one week, and three months post-intervention. Results indicate high satisfaction and attendance, alongside significant improvements in several measured domains that were maintained at follow-up.
