Effects of an Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iCBT) Program in Manga Format on Improving Subthreshold Depressive Symptoms among Healthy Workers: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial evaluates a six-week, manga-formatted internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (iCBT) program designed to reduce subthreshold depressive symptoms among healthy workers in Japan. The study compares outcomes between an intervention group receiving the comic-style lessons and a control group, measuring depression levels at baseline and follow-ups. Results indicate a statistically significant but small effect size for the iCBT program in improving depression scores over six months.
