Self-guided digital acceptance and commitment therapy for fibromyalgia management: results of a randomized, active-controlled, phase II pilot clinical trial
Overview
This paper reports on a phase II pilot trial evaluating the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of a self-guided, smartphone-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy program for fibromyalgia management. The study randomized 67 patients to either the digital therapy intervention or a symptom tracking control group over 12 weeks. Results indicate that participants in the therapy group reported significantly greater improvement than those in the control group, with high engagement rates observed across both arms.
