Evaluating the effect of a smartphone-based self-help intervention on the quality of life of patients with acute coronary syndrome
Overview
This randomized controlled trial examines the impact of a six-session, smartphone-based self-help intervention on the quality of life for patients with acute coronary syndrome. The study involved sixty-four participants who received educational content via WhatsApp covering topics such as emotional regulation and cognitive restructuring. Results indicated that while immediate effects were not significant, quality of life scores improved significantly three weeks post-intervention compared to a control group.
