Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in Daily Life Training: A Feasibility Study of an mHealth Intervention
Overview
This feasibility study evaluates an mHealth intervention called ACT-DL, designed to help patients practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy skills in their daily lives through experience sampling. The research involved 49 experimental participants and 112 controls within an outpatient setting, assessing acceptability via telephone surveys and effectiveness using self-report questionnaires on psychological flexibility, symptoms, coping, and quality of life. Results indicated that the intervention was acceptable to users, with high completion rates and positive feedback on exercise usefulness, though statistical analysis did not reveal significant effects on the measured outcomes.
