Effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy in improving interpersonal problems, quality of life, and worry in patients with body dysmorphic disorder
Overview
This paper evaluates the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for six patients with body dysmorphic disorder using a single-case multiple baseline design. The study measures changes in interpersonal problems, quality of life, and worry levels across eight weekly sessions and a three-month follow-up period. Results indicate reductions in interpersonal difficulties and worry, alongside improvements in various quality of life domains.
