LGB-affirmative cognitive-behavioral therapy for young adult gay and bisexual men: A randomized controlled trial of a transdiagnostic minority stress approach.
Overview
This randomized controlled trial evaluates a transdiagnostic cognitive-behavioral intervention adapted to address minority stress in young adult gay and bisexual men. The study compares immediate treatment against a waitlist control, measuring changes in depressive symptoms, anxiety, alcohol use, sexual compulsivity, and condomless sex risk over three months. Results indicate significant reductions in several mental health and behavioral outcomes for the treatment group compared to the waitlist condition.
