Real-World Cognitive--and Metacognitive--Dysfunction in Schizophrenia: A New Approach for Measuring (and Remediating) More "Right Stuff"
Overview
This paper proposes a novel neuropsychological assessment approach for schizophrenia that integrates metacognitive processes, such as self-monitoring and self-regulation, into standard procedures to better predict functional outcomes. It presents preliminary empirical data supporting the utility of this method for both assessment and remediation efforts. The resource is intended for researchers and clinicians interested in bridging the gap between cognitive impairment and real-world functioning in schizophrenia.
