Acceptance and commitment therapy as an adjunct to the MOVE! programme: a randomized controlled trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial evaluates the efficacy of an adjunctive Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) group intervention for veterans participating in the VA MOVE! weight management program. The study compares four weekly ACT sessions against continued behavioral weight loss, focusing on outcomes such as binge eating, quality of life, and experiential avoidance among individuals with stress-related eating issues.
