The effects of acceptance and commitment therapy on eating behavior and diet delivered through face-to-face contact and a mobile app: a randomized controlled trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial examines the impact of acceptance and commitment therapy on eating behavior and diet quality among working-aged adults with psychological distress and overweight or obesity. The study compares face-to-face group sessions against a mobile app intervention, alongside a control group, measuring outcomes at baseline, post-intervention, and follow-up. Results indicate that both ACT groups showed increased intuitive eating, while specific improvements in uncontrolled eating and food attitudes were observed in the respective delivery formats.
