Internet-Delivered Interpersonal Psychotherapy Versus Internet-Delivered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Adults With Depressive Symptoms: Randomized Controlled Noninferiority Trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial compares the efficacy of internet-delivered interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) against cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for adults with depressive symptoms. The study evaluates whether self-guided online IPT is noninferior to an active control and assesses treatment satisfaction and dropout rates among general population visitors. Results indicate that both therapies significantly reduced depressive symptoms, though IPT participants reported lower satisfaction than those in the CBT group.
