Comparing In-Person to Videoconference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Mood and Anxiety Disorders: Randomized Controlled Trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial compares the effectiveness of in-person versus videoconference-based cognitive-behavioral therapy for mood and anxiety disorders. The study involved 26 clients who received 12 sessions from a single therapist, with outcomes including symptom reduction, working alliance, and satisfaction assessed at post-treatment and follow-up. Results indicated significant symptom improvement across both groups, with no statistically significant differences found between the in-person and videoconference conditions regarding efficacy or client experience.
