Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy−Based Massed Brief Psychoeducational Group via Videoconference for Social Anxiety: Randomized Controlled Trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial evaluates a two-day, massed psychoeducational group using videoconference-based CBT for social anxiety among Chinese university students. The study compares an intervention group against a waitlist control, measuring outcomes such as social phobia symptoms and fear of negative evaluation at baseline, post-test, and follow-up intervals. Results indicate significant reductions in social anxiety measures and increases in knowledge, with no significant changes observed in depression, anxiety, stress, or stigma scores.
