Multimodal MRI Analysis of Brain Metrics Associated with Depression Remission
Overview
This randomized controlled trial investigates cerebral biomarkers associated with therapeutic response to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy versus Progressive Relaxation Therapy in 32 patients with a history of suicide attempts. The study utilizes multimodal MRI data, including resting-state functional connectivity and cerebral blood flow, to analyze changes in brain network modularity and organization. Findings suggest that reductions in a composite depression variable correlate with reorganization within the salience ventral attentional network, potentially reflecting enhanced emotional regulation.
